и Н. Анисимовы

        I LOVE your website.
I would like to know how you got your plants to look so beautiful. Do you grow them in a greenhouse or in your home?
Thank you for sharing your wonderful photos with us.

    Re:
        Dear Franki,
Thank you for the appreciation of my work!
I mostly collect violets and grow them at home on special stands of my own design under artificial light, using special tubes for plants. You can see some of my stands on the Home Page of my website.
I try my best to take good care of my plants and to keep them healthy and nice-looking. I can say almost all my free time is given to my plants. I'm economical about fertilizers and do not use any growth boosters.
I think the best way to keep plants healthy and good-looking is to repot them twice a year.
As for the pictures, they are taken with a digital Nikon camera. I usually take up to 5 or 6 photos of one and the same plan and choose the best. You can also find a couple of my photos in a photo gallery on AVSA website.
Soon coming the list of varieties of Russian hybridizers with pictures.
Thank you again and you're always welcome to my site.
    Sincerely,

        Dear Teresa!
Thank you for the appreciation of my work!
I grow violets at home on special stands of my own design. All of the varieties have been carefully selected for my collection which is annually updated.
I try my best to take good care of my plants and to keep them healthy and nice-looking. My wife Galina is very helpful with all the chores.

    Subject: Hi From the U.S
I just wanted to let you know that your picture of Wrangler's Ragtime Cowboy is not correct. I believe it may be Wrangler's Canyon Echos.
Wrangler's Canyon Echoes (4674) 12/10/81 (W. Smith) Double fuchsia frilled. Variegated, ruffled. Standard
Wrangler's Ragtime Cowboy (6231) 05/20/86 (W. Smith) Double red-violet star/green edge. Variegated dark green and pink, glossy, hairy, ruffled. Large
Also you picture of Arapaho is incorrect. She has a solid red bloom.
Arapahoe (7706) 06/15/92 (K. Stork) Semidouble red large star. Light-medium green, plain, pointed. Large
I have a picture of Wranglers Honkytonk Blues and of Arapaho if you would like me to send them.
    Happy Growing,
    beth

    Re:
Dear Beth! Thank you for your reservations! I received Wrangler's Ragtime Cowboy leaf from African Violets by Fredericks, Inc. in the year 2000 and it has always bloomed as it is represented in the picture. Maybe, it's a kind of sport and in the description in my catalog (which is in Russian) I write that it blooms differently from its description in MVL. It's difficult to identify what variety exactly it is, so I've left the name. Probably, we should not have written its registration number not to mislead other growers. About Arapahoe. I do have this variety which is exactly solid red. The variety listed in my catalog is Arapahoe-2, which is a sport of Stork's Arapahope (the same foliage and bloom shape, but the blooms are white and red) and we left out its ragistration number. Sometimes sports occur from the leaves received from the USA and other growers. Here in Russia I and other Russian growers have agreed not to give new names to such varieties, but to leave the original name adding to it figure "2". Thus, we have Arapahoe and Arapahoe-2. Thank you for suggesting the photos, I've my own one for Arapahoe. As for Wrangler's Honkytonk Blue, I haven't got this variety, so I probably don't need the picture. Anyway, thank you once again. If you have other reservations I'd appreciate if you shared them with me. Always welcome to my site! Sincerely,

Thank You for the explaination. If I were literate enough to read Russian, I would have known, but sadly we Americans are a bit lazy with our languages.
I will be returning to your site from time to time just to enjoy the wonderful pictures.

        Dear Vyacheslav,
Thank You for you reply. I would be very interested in the Russian hybrids. Could you let me no the web site when you have it put together. I have over 250 different varieties. I just love them. It sure would be nice if we could exchange leaves. I noticed that you had all standards. I collect mostly Semi Mini's Mini's and Trailers. You had some of Olive Robinson's known as the Ma collection. I have most of hers. Her husband hybridizes mini"s and Semi's and I have just about all of them.
Its a very peaceful hobby and I spend hours each day with my Violets.
    Thanks again,
    Millie
